Memorial Bridges

This project was developed to continue to remember and honor 136 men from Bucks County, 132 of which were KIA and 4 MIA.    We have partnered with many Bucks County municipalities, the Bucks County Commissioners and PennDot to dedicate and sign a road or a bridge to honor a specific man from Bucks County.  The named bridges and roads are tributes to the fallen or missing serviceman and the family left behind, but also to all men and women who served in the Vietnam War.  Each of these memorial sites gives these Gold Star families the ability and opportunity to see their loved ones again in a public place other than their final resting place.  For his brothers and sisters who served it is an opportunity to remember the heroism and hopefully to move past the trauma of survivors guilt, PTSD, nightmares and more.  The healing process for veterans is paramount in our mission.

In the following pages you find you find the story of each hero who has been honored.  The program is ongoing, with the goal to dedicate a road or bridge for each of the 136.
